To submit book ideas and manuscripts:
BowTie Press publishes factually accurate and fun-to-read books about
companion animals. To enhance the understanding and relationship between
humans and pets, each BowTie Press book is written with creativity,
sensibility, up-to-date information and at least a sprinkle of humor.
From mass market books to beautifully illustrated, high-quality trade
paperbacks, BowTie Press effectively reaches all aspects of the book-buying
population. If you would like your book idea or manuscript considered
for publication by BowTie Press, follow these simple guidelines:
Send a typed or computer-generated summary and outline of your proposal to Acquisitions Editor, BowTie Press, PO Box 6050, Mission Viejo, CA 92690. Include all chapter headings and a list of the major topics within each chapter.
Describe significant illustrations and appendices, if applicable.
Explain what's unique about your idea or manuscript.
Define your target audience.
Briefly summarize your experience with and expertise in the subject matter.
List your previous publishing experience, if applicable.
Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
Please DO NOT submit your idea electronically!
The highly qualified members of BowTie's acquisitions team will give every proposal serious consideration. Up to three months may be required for a decision to be reached; every effort will be made to respond to your
